The firm is seeking a highly motivated Vice President 1 or 2 to join its Equity Capital Markets team. This individual will play a critical role in managing the execution of equity and equity-Linked offerings, advising corporate clients on capital markets strategy, and supporting new business development in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.

 

About the role

Responsibilities:

  • Assume significant levels of responsibility for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development, and overall growth of the firm
  • Work with senior-level team members across ECM, Investment Banking, Risk, Legal, and Operations, as well as external partners, to guide clients through the equity capital raising process from launch to close
  • Structure and pitch equity capital markets alternatives based on in-depth analysis of client financial instruments compared against recent market activity
  • Evaluate company financial performance relative to overall industry and market trends
  • Prepare materials for pitches and live deals, including offering memoranda and management presentations
  • Draft in-depth economic and statistical analysis on market data such as deal volume, pricing, and tenor to detect market and industry trends
  • Oversee work being performed by Analysts and Associates assigned to projects and transactions
  • Act as a project leader and mentor to junior team members, reviewing pitch books and overseeing fast-paced transaction processes


Desired Background:

  • 6-10 years of experience in Investment Banking or a related financial services role, with a focus on ECM and deal execution
  • Demonstrated experience executing equity capital markets transactions including IPOs, follow-ons, convertibles, and private placements
  • Degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration; MBA or Master's degree preferred
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, and securities products
  • Proficiency in financial software such as CapIQ, Bloomberg, and Dealogic strongly preferred
  • Series 7, 79, and 63 preferred
