About the firm:


Our fintech client is building a finance super app for business owners

- reimagining every single aspect of the financial workflow and financial services for any entrepreneur. Since publicly launching in September 2023, our client has grown revenue 25x. The firm focuses on mid-market businesses ($3-$100M revenue) that are largely overlooked by existing fintech solutions and reliant on slow, outdated regional banks.


The firm is seeking an experienced Head of Capital Markets to lead all aspects of fundraising and capital structuring. As Head of Capital Markets, you will negotiate, execute, and monitor debt facilities and other financial mechanisms. To manage our client's liquidity needs, you will work closely with external lenders and investors to execute the company's funding strategy via credit facilities, securitizations, loan sales and other secured and unsecured debt solutions.


About the role:


Responsibilities:

  • Refine and further develop capital markets strategies to support the company's financing needs.
  • Lead all capital raising efforts for our client's debt facilities to finance the company's lending operations.
  • Structure, negotiate, and close financing transactions.
  • Collaborate with business leaders across the organization to prioritize critical focus areas, establish clear business objectives, and foster accountability.
  • Identify and manage relationships with banking partners, lenders, investors and other capital markets participants - including attending relevant investor conference events.
  • Work on the execution of securitization transactions, warehouses and other lending contracts.
  • Manage lender reporting and ensure accuracy and fidelity of payment tapes.
  • Prepare investor presentations and other materials for deal roadshows, rating agency requests, and diligence meetings.
  • Stay up to date on market conditions, investor appetite, and capital structure strategies to inform our CM strategy.


Desired Background:

  • 10-20 years of experience in Banking, Private Credit/Debt, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on team management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Track record of success in a debt-financing/capital-raising role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach to work.
