About the firm:

Our client is a diversified alternative asset manager, with ~$10 billion in AUM. The firm serves a broad mix of investors, including pension funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, family offices and HNW and RIAs. Fundamental research drives the firm’s entrepreneurial approach to investing in both private and public markets. 

The firm is seeking a senior associate or VP to serve as the subject-matter expert for growth equity, crossover, and absolute return strategies, with a particular focus on scaling and supporting the firm’s RIA and wealth management distribution channels. The role will partner closely with global distribution, portfolio management, and executive management to deliver high-quality, insightful product positioning, investment analysis, and client engagement.


About the role

Responsibilities:

  • Win new AUM in wealth channels by originating and growing relationships.
  • Develop deep knowledge of fund portfolios, performance history, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
  • Translate investment team insights into clear, differentiated messaging for the firm’s global distribution broadly and the RIAs and wealth advisory channel specifically.
  • Deliver high-quality presentations, portfolio reviews, and performance updates to clients and prospects.
  • Travel extensively to meet with clients and prospects, attend industry conferences, and support client-facing events.
  • Collaborate with global distribution and corporate communications to create client-ready pitch decks, product summaries, white papers, and thought leadership.
  • Track competitive landscape, market trends, and RIA platform developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain an updated investor / CRM database; ensure information is captured and organized.

Desired Background:

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience within venture capital, crossover investing, growth equity, and/or absolute return strategies.
  • Prior experience engaging with RIAs, HNW, family offices, and other intermediary distribution channels.
  • Strong understanding of private markets and late-stage private/public crossover dynamics.
  • Proven ability to engage with sophisticated investors and translate complex strategies into client-friendly language
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling skills—both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with investment performance data.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFA, or CAIA preferred.duct positig, investment analysis, and client engagement.
