The Role

Working as a member of the NY Financial Planning & Analysis Team, the Junior Financial Analyst will ensure the continued accuracy of our financial records. They will work closely with the business to ensure the achievement of proper expense analysis, forecasting and flagging potential risks. The analyst will work closely with the Director to increase the company’s efficiency and profitability by tracking current and future financial plan of expenses.

What you will do…

• Support the FP&A Team with the preparation and management of all expenses including but not limited to the following: track and analyze monthly expenses, prepare files for accruals, input quarterly forecasts.
• Month end close: journal entries and reporting schedules.
• Provide proactive analytical support and other ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
• Continually look to enhance current processes to provide greater efficiencies.

Who you will be…

• Experience in an Advertising Agency financial role (1+ Years) preferred.
• Approachable and solution-oriented and breaks down problems/issues into critical parts which can be resolved.
• Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely in oral and written communications.
• Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency.
• Extremely detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize action items and multitask depending on sense of urgency.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial statement analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, ability to learn financial systems quickly.

The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $160,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; geographical considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
